Thoughts on the photo
This was inspired by @teo_crawford. After watching his video on shooting moody film photos at home, I picked up my camera and got a few shots around the house. This was my favourite. I like the light seeping through the window and how it hits the basket of detergents and the towel. This photo makes me feel calm but, at the same time, reminds me of the chaos during meal times.
The expected visual effect of different focal lengths is still unpredictable to me. For the 24 mm, the background seems much further away, while the sink appears to be bigger. There is also a lot more background in the 24 mm. Probably because the 24 mm is ‘more zoomed out’, the camera had to be closer to the sink to get a similar shot as the 52.5 mm. Since the camera was closer to the sink, more of the background could be captured.
