A photograph is not an accident – it is a concept.
Ansel Adams
But despite their reluctance to say so, most photographers have always had – with good reason – an almost superstitious confidence in the lucky accident.
Susan Sontag, On photography, p117
So far, photography has been ‘an accident’ for me. I grab my camera when I see something interesting. I go out with my camera and look for scenes that kind souls have created for me. I’m happy with ‘accidental photography’ as much as I’m excited to do conceptualising in the future.

Thoughts on the photo:
I felt uninspired even though I had been looking forward to taking photos at Bedok Reservoir. It was a period of chaos in the mind. This photo turned out okay. I liked the contrast of the white subject against the greens and browns. And a glimpse of the white house/building at the back. She was wondering what I was trying to capture. Or, she didn’t want to show her face.
